Is it a bug or feature to randomly explode when using the hyperspace command? I thought you'd only explode if you warp directly onto an asteroid, but here I disintegrate for no apparent reason about a third of the time, and find myself accidentally hitting hyperspace control often. There was no off switch for artifacting back then and Mac/PeeCee Atari emulators didn't mature until more recently, with let's say "new" artifact render style starting in 2006. looks awful on this game, on CRT'S thru the 1990s. Then I notice hi res graphics is in use to emulate the 1979 vector CRT, and "old" style artifacting in the U.S.
I wonder why this wasn't done sooner, the demand sure has always been there.
